Meet Darrin

I’ve always described Funky Monkey Industries as what happens when you let an Electrical Engineer with a passion for design, building and woodworking loose in the workshop. My goal is to create furniture that is both beautiful, functional and with a sense of playfulness. Each piece is crafted with loving attention to detail and injected with a little bit of the Funky Monkey design philosophy. My hope is that my clients receive as much joy from owning my pieces as I get from creating them!

While technically my role is Head of Workshop Security, my other function other main function is offering moral support and encouragement. Luckily my needs are modest and I’m happy to work for food and lodge, which is probably fair considering I get caught sleeping on the job on a regular basis!
